As a sophomore in high school, I distinctly remember praying for the first time. Up to that point, God had been more of an idea and not necessarily a person I could talk to so I can't say with certainty what I actually expected to happen. But on that night, all alone in my bedroom, I looked up to the ceiling and I gave it my best shot. I needed God and I thought my hurt and my tears would move his heart. Unfortunately for me and my faith, my words...and my tears fell on deaf ears. God failed to answer a 15 year old boy who was desperate for help.

Over the next several years, I found myself constantly frustrated with God and his continued silent treatment. It was hard to understand why God found it necessary to ignore me. Was he mad at me? Did he not care about me? Or...was it possible that he wasn't even real? Was God a made up idea? 

 

During this same time, my home life was falling apart and I found myself deeply immersed into the party scene. My life was spiraling out of control with seemingly no way out. And then something happened. In a moment, everything changed.

 

The book CHASING LOVE is a true story that follows this journey and it's a story that has been on my heart for 15 years to write. I believe with all my heart it's a story that people will relate to and that it will resonate deeply with many. I pray that as you read the story, you will experience the same emotions that I did and when you reach the end of the journey, that your life will be forever changed in the same way that mine has.
